I bought these boots for my older son last Christmas and was having a hard time finding them for my younger son this year. They both love them! Not only did Amazon have the boots, but they had a better price than anyone else.

I needed new winter boots for my sons. They love the outdoors and can spend hours outside. “Mine don’t fit, can I use your boots?” says one of my sons. I reply, “Sure, but if I need to shovel, I’ve gotta have them back.” Do you think I see them?

I took the afternoon off from work and brought them to a great online retailer’s brand store. Looked through all the available stock and one son turns to me and says “I want what you have….”, “uuhhhmmmm, I guess that’s ok but they’re kind of expensive, but definitely worth it.

So I search online and where do I end up? My favorite shopping portal, Amazon with pretty awesome prices.

This is a great product, I don’t know much about the variations but simply put, this model of Sorel is comfortable, nice height, warm and very reasonably priced . So, I’m happy, my boys are happy and my wife is especially happy.

I live in Rochester, NY. My friend gave me a pair of used Sorels 30 years ago and I have changed the inserts twice. I figure the age to be about 37 years old. My feet have never been cold or wet. The only reason I am buying a new pair because I am handing them down to my son. He has never seen me in an other pair since he can remember. Sorels are the best winter boot there is. I am 60 and a diabetic and I totally trust my feet to Sorel. Thanks Sorel!

Great cold weather boots. We do a lot of ice fishing and these boots are just the ticket to keeping your feet warm and protected from standing on

frozen surfaces. These boots have been around from Sorel for a long time

and last several cold weather seasons making them an exceptional value.

I have owned a couple of pairs of Sorels, they are good for the cold, BUT if you need to work outside, and you must be able to move quickly, look for a pair of serious, molded exterior, mountaineering boots.

Sorels have a type of felt lining, they will “pack out” with time (2 weeks of every day use). If you only need them for being outside in the cold for a couple of days each month, Sorels will work just fine. Be sure to get at least one felt foot bed liner that should be readily avaible when you buy the boots.

Sorels will get “sloppy” on your feet with time. When they pack out the will not be easy to walk long distances in, meaning more than a couple of hundred yards. The felt also collects moisture from your feet sweating. If you must be outside for extended periods of time this will reduce the boots ability to keep your feet warm, use anti-perspirant on your feet! It helps.

When I last had to work ouside I was making snow for a major ski resort. I had to be able to walk all day long – I did not want Sorels. I then looked for , and bought a pair of molded composite shell mountaineering boots, which are made to keep feet warm, and walk all day long. They are expensive ($200+), but worth every cent if you must be able to move and walk quickly all day long. Yes, sorels are great if you need something for a short period of time, but for day in – day out work, where you want to be comfortable – look for something much more molded to your feet.
